Conversation with Desert 4
"I saw you there, how you bent down, below sea level, and created the hottest place on Earth. You lure people between your sandy loins to find their death..."
"It is a place of death and also of thriving life...," replies Desert, in a serene way.
"A place of modern mummies and strange beauty..."
"The contrast... bothers you?"
"Not necessarily...it's how life is...this valley of death...where the struggle to survive is the most fierce...One can meditate on the meaning of life..."
"People die down there out of forgetfulness...they forget about water...they need a lot of water...But
forgetfulness comes in many forms...people die in many ways..."
"It's at your feet where people discover how crucial water is....But water comes in many forms as well...Water of Life..."
"I know about Water of Life..."
"You are old and wise, tell me ancient stories, and do not let me forget..."
