Confessions
"You are not the product of a great love... You would have wished that, I know... Me and your father liked each other, and it was the right time to get married. It was ok for a while, but eventually relationship deteriorated and become pain..."
Young Forest knew it somewhat, as she had learned it through time, but now she had it in the most articulated form. And it was later in life, when her mother became more and more grave, pensive, and foreboding, and her words resonated differently, with an even more impact than before. As if she was making her last assertions before her untimely death.
"It is better for her to leave if she is suffering..."-- a fugitive thought came through Young Forest's mind feeling the other's dejection, although she was not, by any means, ready for a separation from her mother.
When she died, the invisible umbilical cord was finally severed, and Young Forest was released from her mother's traumas and anxieties. She was still left with her double helix, in which contradictory traits from her mother and father twisted as they pleased, and came to the surface when they wished.
At least Young Forest knew where she was coming from: a more libertine father, and her saint-like mother-- the embodiment of purity. Sometimes, Young Forest did not know where she was... But forget about mirrors... she decided to live her life differently, far from pain, far from lack of love...
Un post pe gustul meu. Sincer pana la capăt.
